Reverend Joan / Red Roses Wilted
Not sure whether people will classify this pairing as religious or sacrilegious. Both were written based on dreams when I was living in Lexington, KY, my first home away from my hometown. Reverent Joan is imagining a time when I might contemplate a return to Catholicism because my parish had a female priest. In Red Roses Wilted, I was imagining a walk through my grandmother's home after her death. Writing down the dream helped me prepare for the time a few years later when I would have to deal with the inevitable.
