It took me several years, several books, and a lot of frustration to find an artist. Here are some methods that I tried and what actually worked for me.
Looking at people's FB pages, and contacting those artists directly.
Creating an ad on Craigslist.
Meeting artists at craft fairs.
What worked? None of the above.
Chestina's grandmother saw me at a book signing. I had a "help wanted" ad on my table for an artist. Chestina did a great job with very little direction.
